Vertical Garden at a Toronto Design Studio

Vertical Garden at a Toronto Design Studio

Originally conceived as two separate gardens in their initial incarnation at the client’s previous space, these were joined when they moved into their permanent home. These two halves contain species from the neotropics (the Americas) on one side, and the Old World (Africa, Asia, Australia) forests on the other.

These halves are unified now both in the growth of these plants as they move naturally across the face of the garden (irrespective of borders!), and by the aquatic plant species from all over the globe that are planted in the water column of the garden, which also supports a large group of two fish species from opposite parts of the world.
